(Run-N'-Gunner that could have been so much more) 『I decided to rent this game because of the praise that I had received from numerous magazines about the original Red Faction. Now, let me tell you, this is nothing compared to the original Red Faction. For some reason, THQ had put it on cruise control for this version and instead of making it better, they had made it much worse. This game is a Run and Gunner, which I said on the title. If you are not into this genre, don't rent it.
Pros: 1. Walls can be blown up, dented, fragged, etc. (original, I think)
2. Solid Multiplayer Mode (up to 4 players with bots.... but can only have 6 playing though.)
Cons: 1. Plot is very stale (don't really get a background on Sopot (supposed "bad guy") or any of the main characters. And the plot twist in the middle of the game does little to make it interesting)
2. Cutscenes redefine the definition of "bare bones" (some take less than 5 seconds!)
3. "Multiple endings" is a joke (no real change in ending of game, just a change in the AFTERMATH of the game which is not affected by decisions, but by only friendly fire!)
4. Graphics leave much to be desired.
5. Grenade throwing is iffy.
6. music and sound aren't that good either.
Final Verdict: My belief is that this game is not worthy of being bought. Unless you don't have Halo and need a multiplayer game. But rent it if you wish to experience it.』
(Worth a rental....) 『I was eager to play this game because I was a huge Red Faction fan for the PC when it came out years ago. I especiall enjoyed the G-mod effect where you can blow out walls...especially on multi-play. So I had high hopes for this new Red Faction release. I was dissapointed..plain and simple. The gameplay was horribly short and uneventful. I enjoy a FPS that has a good story behind it...ala Deus Ex:Invisible War or even the corniest story lines like Return to Castle Wolfenstein. But they were great games! Red Faction is the type of game that only a person would enjoy if you just wanted to go around shooting stuff. Mind you, I did enjoy the grenade launcher and turning my foes into chunks of flesh...but even that gets old at times. The graphic environments are below par...nothing new or innovative here. The voice acting is complete cheese and the storyline that was so brilliant in the first RF incarnation is absent here. The AI in this game is horrible and is completly laughable. I guess that is why getting through it is so easy because the difficulty is a joke.
All in all, this is not the best title out there...but is not the worst if you just want to pick up a game that you can spend a few hours on. Stick with greats for your Xbox like Prince of Persia, Ninja Gaiden, Halo...and the upcoming Doom 3 and Halo 2. A rental folks...not a buyer. You've been warned.』

They only tacked this release on to get more sells, and it is the most terrible port I have ever played. The graphics are terrible, even for the system it's on, and the world is not streaming like it is in the next gen version. It is also really short, and the cutscenes are video files pre-rendered from the 360 version.
The next-gen game has an amazingly fun, hilarious bail system that requires physics processing too advanced for the original xbox, as well as some levels that are totally different and better in comparison. The booklet inside the Xbox version has no pictures, and has only basic information about how to play the game, whereas the 360 version of the booklet is filled with pictures, and has the song credits etc.
Trust me in saying that unless you are poor/cheap, get a 360 or a PS3 if you want this game. Or get any of the other Tony Hawk's games that are on Xbox. They almost all have better graphics/story/fun. Just stay the heck away from this load of trash.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fantastic graphics, but the game is missing something) 『This is an arcade style fighting game with 16 playable characters, all with their own unique traits other than appearance. Some fighters are made for speed (Ayane&Jann Lee), others are made for brutality (Bayman), others are meant to throw around the compeition (Tina&Bass) and some are meant to just be unique (Hayabusa&Brad Wong).
I am sure that we can all see that the graphics in this game are some of the best of the X-Box and that is saying alot. There are amazing 17 character models, detailed things like flowing fabrics and whipping hair (yet forgotten things like shadows).
The story takes a back seat and the fighting flows with four major buttons. Punch, kick, throw and block. By "flows" I mean when you attack, strike, kick or punch, your character does not always return to face your opponent, which sets it up for something different, like a roundhouse kick leaves your character with his or her back to the opponent, then you can have a series of other moves, like an elbow, another roundhouse, a different throw or by pressing forward it turns your fighter around. Basically it creates different and interesting dynamics.
There are not just traditional standing fighters, grapplers and submission fighters, but there are fighters like Brad Wong and Hyabusa that have far different techniques. Hayabusa can stand on his hands and fight with his feet, Brad Wong has a drunken sort of fighting that makes him very difficult to grapple and throw.
The game modes are : Story Mode, Time Attack Mode, Versus Mode, Survival Mode, Tag Battle Mode, Team Battle Mode, Sparring Mode and Watch Mode.
Even with the great fighting system and fantastic visuals, it still feels like the game is missing something. Its an arcade fighter, so each fighter has his or her own ending video. Not the most spectacular video, spectacular looking yes, but interesting, no. There are no unlockables except for an extra costume or two for all of the fighters. Everything is already unlocked, except the endings. For a game you play at home, it just feels like, "What's the point?"
The later released Dead Or Alive Ultimate is a far superior game, even if it is a rerelease of Dead or Alive 2.』

Speaking of the graphics, in response to certain people saying the game is too ' trashy', I have this to say in caps to prove my point: IT'S CALLED MARKETING. How else are you going to get lonely nerds living in their mom's basement to buy your game? Add Kasumi, of course. Gen Fu's not gonna get them. You need some double X chromosomes to spice things up. It helps that they're scantily clad, of course. Besides, if you don't want your [...] kid playing it, DON'T BUY IT FOR HIM. YOU have the power. IT has a teen rating. Look at the reasons for the rating, it says ' mature sexual themes' RIGHT THERE. Don't act like this snuck up on you. That being said, I'd like to move on to gameplay. Story mode is your classic ' choose a character and go around in their story beating people up until the big boss battle' mode. Simple, but effective. The progressive battles don't get much harder, but the final boss battle does get you off your rear to try to think of how to beat him. It takes a couple tries, but it's worth it. Throughout there are gorgeous cutscenes to pass the time. And then there are the lovely movies you get in reward for beating story mode. Ahh.... beautiful. Multiplayer is done well, with a good couple modes for you to play in, what with tag team (versus/normal), one on one(versus/normal), etc etc. It's fun, but I'd like to see more costume choices. Kasumi has the most with five, and that's just not enough. More unlockables in general would make this game even better. Overall, this is how it evens out:

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A fun adventure game for Narnia lovers) 『In the XBox version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe movie, the game mixes in video footage from the movie with action game fighting, coin collecting and obstacle climbing.
If you've played a platformer/adventure game before, you have a fair idea of what's involved here. You bash random objects to see if coins or special tokens emerge. You climb up trees. You kill random enemies that come at you. You get to checkpoint at spots along your path, in case death visits you. At the end of each level, you get your coins and tokens tallied up, and get a rating of how well you did.
You have an incentive to gather as much as you go - the more coins you get, the more special abilities you unlock. Those skills really help you as you get into the more challenging areas of the game.
Since you have the four main characters from the book and movie, each character has his or her own special abilities. You often have to switch from character to character to get past an area - having the young Lucy climb up onto objects, having the stronger Peter bash at doors or wolves. There are even combo moves where two characters interact together in order to solve a problem.
The graphics are reasonably good for the XBox platform. There are many transitions between the video cinematics and the in-game graphics which really help to ensure you feel a part of the story. If you want quick gaming, you might get frustrated - there is a lot of movie to sit through, to build the atmosphere for you. However, if you really enjoy the storyline, you'll be thrilled. You get a lot of the background and interaction to give you meaning for what you're doing.
Some of the gameplay is a little more annoying than it should be. There are missions where you have to figure out a timed path. There isn't any real rhyme or reason to the path - you just keep trying paths and failing until by default you end up with the correct one. Ditto to the "find the [insert object name here]" kinds of missions.
Also, the camera is *really* annoying. There are many spots where you want to turn around and examine the area, but you can't. In the modern world of gaming, there's really no reason for a fixed camera angle.
Still, for people who love the movie, this is a great, fun way to get involved in the movie storyline. There is fighting, but it's a mild style of wolf-bashing type of combat.

Some of the most major problems are simple issues of the rules, particularly in the 1 minute warning. The game clock does not stop when you score touchdowns in the final minute of each half, and any even casual AFL fan should realize how dramatically this alters the game play. Furthermore, at the end of a half when a penalty is called, such as pass interference, the half (and or game) simply ends even if you accept the defensive penalty. Any mere football fan should see the flaw with this. These are some of the most easily demonstrable problems, and act extremely well as a way to understand how half-hearted EA was in the design of this game. If you really love the Arena Football League, then buy the game. However, don't expect this to be like the AFL you know. Even fieldgoals are easy in this game. My recommendation: if you have a PS2 then buy Arena Football: Road to Glory instead, because it is the same game just with updated rosters and AF2 teams. If you own an Xbox (or 360 since it can support Xbox games), then get this game, but don't expect too much. Also, it lacks commentators. It just uses an arena announcer in the background.』

The graphics are beautiful, gameplay is smooth and there is a good mix of easy, challenging and hard levels thru the single player mode. There is plenty more to do after the campaign mode. 1 on 1 with an Ace, mini campaign(seperate bombing&dogfight campaigns) and an arcade mode(where you take on 3 different waves of planes&12 in each wave). Then once you've done all that, call your friends over and play any of the 6 different multiplayer modes which are very cool, everything from 1 on 1 with your friend, to waves of enemies trying to dogfight, and LOTS MORE. I think if you like flying games, you should like this one.』

The graphics and sound are good and the missions are pretty interesting. I haven't flown all the planes yet but it looks to have a wide variety of British and American planes. (Not all that great) 『When i played this game, it was very fun at first. You learn how to drop bombs and dogfight. As you get passed training you start doing missions such as protecting a certain objective or destroying an oncoming bomber raid. These missions can get repetitive. One mission you have to fly around and take pictures of 3 enemy camps, sounds simple right? Wrong! You are supposed to listen for enemy radios and use that to aid u, but there is no bar or gauge so it really is quite useless.There is a giant dust storm clouding your whole vision. Also computer players will keep saying the same taunts the whole game. I must of heard "My mechanic flys better then you!" a couple hundred times. The graphics on the other hand are amazing. Probably some of the best for this console. The multiplayer is fun, espically when you get all your buddys to play. Xbox live is a different story. Good luck finding anyone else on. I tryed a few times and no server lists poped up. Overall the single player is O.K while the multiplayer is good if your not hoping for other people to get on Xbox live to play it with you. (Rocky Legends: One More Round Balboa) 『I'll keep this short and to the point. Rocky Legends has around 40 fighters or characters featured in the Rocky flicks. You can choose to be either Apollo, Clubber, Drago, or Rocky to compete in career mode. You start at the bottom and with victories and training, you can work your way up. You can see how Apollo, Creed, and Drago characters became what they were in the movies. Gameplay: I found the controls a little strange, but I'm used to the Fight Nite controls, so it might have been me. You can do a variety of super punches, so this is an arcade type boxing game. The gameplay seems a bit sluggish to me, but it's just not as fast a game as fight nite. Wish it could have been faster, but its not too big an issue. Graphics are improved over the first Rocky game, but I expected a little more being a Ubisoft fan. They are good, and the framerate it pretty constant. The voice acting could have been better. I'm not expecting Dolf, Sly, Burt young, or Carl Weathers, but my brother and I could have been better. Rocky in particular is aweful, but it is better than the first Rocky game. There is no online play, but you can unlock and buy stuff in the store. I've been a little critical, but overall its a fun game. As a Rocky fan, I love it anyway. Its far better than even the first Rocky game on the Sega Master System. It's not Fight Nite, but you'll still enjoy this arcade game.』
(Best Game Ever For Rocky Fans) 『It may not be the best boxing game of all time - but that's not what it's designed to be. It's designed to be a fun game for fans of the Rocky genre. Personally I am overwhelmed by how enjoyable the game is. The training games are a lot of fun. Being able to play career mode with 4 different characters is also a treat.
But the best part for me, and congratulations to the genius who decided to add this, has to be the incorporation of the original music during the 14th round of Rocky 1. You remember that, don't you? That's when Rocky goes down - they flash to Adrienne and back - and Micky tells Rocky to "stay down! stay down" but Rocky claws his way back up. "Appolo can't believe it!"
That has to be one of the most inspiring moments in film history. And the music is what helped that to be so, and now that music is in this game. When you get close to knocking down an opponent, that inspirational music starts playing and gets you worked up and emotionally into the game. That for me was worth the price of admission in of itself.
With all the extras of the game this is a bargain. If you're looking for a great boxing game, you may want to try a different title...but if you're nostalgic for the Rocky movies, by all means you won't be disappointed.』

Although you have more boxers (over 40 that either appeared or were mentioned in the films including alternate looks for some of the main characters), more training modes, a new career mode where you can play as Rocky, Apollo, Clubber Lang, or Drago, better looking menus with some nice alternate music from the Rocky films, and LOADS of unlockables! The graphics seem to have gotten better with time as well. The characters and environments are more detailed than in the previous title. Sadly, the voice-overs for the characters are not that spectacular. But I guess you would expect that considering the whole concept of the game is to go into the way past of the fighters before they became champions. The fight engine is not as loose as it was the last game. It almost seems kinda stiff, but not to the point where your fighter will delay his punches. Also, there are some cool combos that can easily be performed by pressing two buttons at the same time. Sounds easy, I know, but it helps out big-time as you move up into the career mode. The cuts, blood, and bruise marks are highly detailed as well. At times, when you or your opponent get a "super" punch, blood spatters onto the screen, although not lots but it makes for a nice effect. The unlockables are accomplished by, not only completing various bouts in the career modes (to help unlock all unlockables, it's better to go through the career mode of all four fighters). Not only that, you get money after every bout. Of course you earn more money if you win a fight than if you lost it. You then go to the Shop menu on the main screen and cycle through the different categories of unlockables. Each unlockable has a certain price with the fighters being the most expensive (around $150,000). While that may seem to be a lot, it can easily be obtained in just a few fights. As you move up the ladder and fight the higher ranked fighters, your payout is more, win or lose, than it was in the previous fights. Overall, Rocky: Legends is a game that definitely needs to be looked at if you are either a casual gamer, a fan of boxing, or a fan of the Rocky series. This title is more in-depth than the previous title and has tons of replay value! The menus are nicely done with colorful graphics, music from the Rocky series, and, in the background, scenes from some of the Rocky movies are played. Too bad, though, this title is not easy to find; at least where I live.』

(I love playing this game!) 『I'm 7 years old and this is a real cool game. It is frustrating when you die, but you only have to go back to the last checkpoint or the last tunnel. The bonus worlds are fun and if you get hurt during a bonus world you do not have any health missing. It is not all like the movie because the fish helps you and thing one and thing two stole the bonus world keys. You have to think about how to get past some crates of goo. You have to fight 3 bosses in this game which are Quinn's big machine (powered by the crablock and needed to the cat to close the main crate full of goo). This game is a great game and I fully reccomend it to you.』

I liked all the collectible items such as the Development black book, the silver sharpie and the music cd. The game was really awesome, i liked the way you can switch the outlines and graff you do, and how you can change the colors of the graff you decide to put up in the in-game black book. Another cool part is that a lot of famous grafiti artists and rap artists that helped out in this game. Overall this game really reminded me of myself and made me want to go out and paint!
