(Still Fun After Multiple Gaming)
(Spiderman better run 'cause he stinks!)
(Harder than I Thought...) Love the game. It's in great condition and lots of fun. It has great graphics and is now one of my favorite games. Just purchased an Xbox and purchased Spiderman for my 8 year old grandson and it has a great tutoral to help you navigate. It was fun to see his expression when he was able to play the game. This game hasn't aged at all! Here it is in 2007 and I played this game again and it is just as fun as when I originally bought it! This game is more based on the movie than actually a game for the movie. Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker and Kraven weren't in the movie but they are featured on this game along with the Green Goblin which just adds more gameplay to this really fun adventure. The game is also challenging and not too easy. It may not be as good as Spider-Man 2 video game, but it is still fun after all of these years. Highly recommended if you don't have this game already. If u r looking for a game i highly advise u don't buy this game. it has it's 1 little moment but it is 2 hard and 2 boring i have had this game for 1 year and i havn't got pass the stink'n 1st level! The only good thing is being able to beat the living dog crap out of people. DON'T BUY THIS GAME! Thanks god I got this game from a friend of mine, I borrowed the game from him, and the game was good yeah, but very, very hard! (And no, Im not really into Spiderman..)
The Graphics 8/10: are very detailed and smooth, specially in the outdoor levels, the lightning effect of the game arent that perfect. The characters here are well detailed as well as Peter Parker, with the exception of Mary Jane, she just doesnt look like Kirsten Dunst. The cutscene are very well implemented, it looks like a real movie :P (yeah and I mean it) my only complaint about it is that there werent any english subtitles..
The outdoor levels are sooo great and they can be repetitive, it looks exactly like NY, and sometimes you can see the Ubisoft logo on one of the big buildings, awesomee! and abuout the indoor levels, they arent that special, good, but not special.
Sound 7/10 Music 5/10: About the music...? Well.. theres nothing special on it, but yeah, they are cool, once you play level two and three they will get very repetitive, thank god they have a long lenght. The reason I gave it a 7 star rating was because Tobey Mcguire did the voice for the game (I Dont really know if Kirsten Dunst did hers). But when you are fighting a foe, or something the lines will get very very repetitive specially spidey's (Some of them are stupid anyway..).
Gameplay/Controls 6/10: The camera angles and the save system arent very good, cause sometimes you wont be able to see the enemies cause this stupid camera will get stuck and you wont be able to rotate it, the save system is a pain (similar to Buffy The Vampire Slayer) there is no checkpoints after all! If you die at the end of the level, you will have to restart the level again! and is not good in the last levels cause you need to avoid these white robots which is not easy.. Spiderman has some nice combos to pull off.. (they are located like some sort of secrets) however it wont be easy to do this cause the buttons layaout arent that good, they are chunky if you know what I mean, you press the punch button and 4 seconds later you see spiderman punching, is lacking response.. The Difficulty in this game is sooo hard and I started this game on normal, and I found it veryyy hard and frustrating, specially when you are fighting this green big bird, he is throwing bombs at you, and since your bar is too well damned low (an overexageration of the game developers..) you will die instantly!
If you are a fan of the movie take this game, however.. if you are not, avoid it, since is lacking a good control responsive and is lacking some other things mentioned above. Bitten by a genetically altered spider, high school student Peter Parker is suddenly empowered with supernatural abilities, including Spider Sense, web-slinging and wall crawling. Take the role of Parker as he adapts to his new powers and becomes Spider-Man. But beware - the city's villains won't be pleased to see a new hero on the scene. Spider-Man: The Moviebrings your friendly neighborhood web slinger to life with engrossing realism, proving that a superhero game of such complex nature can be achieved with nearly flawless and nonintrusive gameplay. Be it wandering the city's environs in search of villains, or just checking out your surroundings by web-swinging high above them, you truly can do whatever Spider-Man can. It's all here: high-flying aerial battles, the ability to web up and yank your enemies close for pummeling, and the capacity for crawling or web-zipping up, down, and over any surface--and that's just for starters. All in all, this is one involved game that does not fail to live up to the hype. The game parallels the motion picture's story line, steering you through a progression of challenges that begins with the hunt for Uncle Ben's murderer and ends with a final showdown with the Green Goblin. You begin as Peter Parker dressed in his wrestling costume and must defeat a variety of thugs throughout each level before advancing to the next set of challenges. The game gets progressively tougher as you encounter, in turn, Shocker, the Vulture, Scorpion, and, of course, the Green Goblin. Visually,Spider-Manis a treat: cityscapes unfold in realistic detail and are enhanced by sunlight shining between buildings; cutscenes offer seamless animation; interiors are painstakingly re-created; and Spider-Man and his enemies are well rendered, moving about the screen in clean fashion. As an added bonus, most characters are voiced by their movie counterparts, and the training mode features the sarcastic wit ofEvil Deadstar Bruce Campbell.--Larry White Pros: - Detailed controls bring Spider-Man to life
- Challenging gameplay enhanced by numerous fight styles
- Stunning visuals at every level
Cons:- Camera angles slow to respond at times
- Some interiors too dark
- Repetitive one-liners
Note: This review refers to the PlayStation2 version of this game. Spider-Man: The Movieallows fans to play as Spider-Man in several highly detailed 3-D environments inspired by the Columbia Pictures/Marvel Entertainment live-action feature film (due for release in May of 2002). This full-roaming action-adventure game allows players to jump into the suit of a fledgling Marvel superhero and learn how to battle the forces of evil. Players crawl, leap, and swing from the dizzying heights of skyscrapers to catch criminals and supervillains, and, ultimately, come face-to-face with the Green Goblin in a death-defying display of aerial combat. During the course of the game, players must use Spider-Man's spider-sense, agility, quick wits, and strength to evade the pursuit of the bad guys and overcome obstacles. Rerations < Spider-Man >

(Lego Star Wars Fun for Younger Kids)
(GREAT GAME)
(Awesome Game) I bought it on a whim being a star wars fan. It's geared towards kids and there's nothing wrong with that. Kids will find it action packed, easy to figure out, and best of all: low on the frustration scale. I can't see too many kids playing this game getting frustrated and slamming down the controller. And isn't that what we're all aiming for? This game is SOOO much fun, even for 20-something-year-olds!! I used to play this with my (ex)husband and we definitely spent hours. It's a lot of fun, pretty easy to play, not frustrating,&cool graphics. It's not too long and fairly easy to finish. I recently purchased Lego Star Wars for the XBox (yes, we are Stone Age and still use an XBox). My 4 little boy friends, ages 3, 8 and 9, all love playing this game! Plenty of action, easy to learn how to play, and not too violent. this was a great game!!! it had great graphics and it was fun all the way from beginning to end.the only down side was that after I beat all the levels, I found playing them again a little boring but I found it fun to go back through the levels looking for bonuses and doing other secret stuff!!!
I would defiantly recommend this game to anyone!! My 6 year old son and my husband cant get enough of this. We finally upgraded to the Wii version- but this was awesome for Xbox. Great graphics and so many levels and characters to unlock! Lego Star Wars Xbox Play the most memorable and exhilarating scenes from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and the forthcoming Episode III Revenge of the Sith including pod racing on Mos Espa, the repelling of the droid onslaught in the Genosian arena and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon's fatal fight with Darth Maul. Besides controlling the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2, notorious dark side enemies such as Jango Fett, Darth Maul and Count Dooku appear in thrilling boss showdowns. As you progress through the game you unlock many new characters including the defeated bosses, and you must switch between them to solve puzzles using their special abilities. (Awesome!)
(One of the Best Video Games I've Played)
(Really really awsome)
(Excellent) This game was fun...hard at some points but overall it was fun. This is a game you will play 1-2 times after you beat it but probly not much after that.
the grapics are good, the fighting style is excellent, and the movement style is awesome( you are super acrobatic and can climb, jump, and run on just about everything) Awesome! Cool Graphics, very smooth and good story mode! Would recommend this game 100%... Totally Happy with this purchase! Prince of Persia the Sands of Time is one of the best games I've ever played since starting my video game career with the Atari 2600 in the early 1980's. I previously sold my old XBox which included this game. After a couple years, having purchased the XBox 360, I found myself missing the rich story and insanely great puzzles built into this game. I went out and bought another copy of this game in 2009.
The cinematic portions of the game are refreshing and original. I found the setting to be visually rich. The game is challenging in that it makes you think through physical puzzles as you advance through the game. So, you have to use your mind and you thumb skills to conquer this game.
5 out of 5 stars from me. This game is so cool. The graphics are average for a Xbox game. This game is pretty easy to beat. I havn't found a single glitch. I said this game is so fun for a few reasons: First reason, your charictor the prince can do the coolest fighting moves like like vaulting over a enemy and the stabbing it in the back, reason two, the Prince is a expert acrobat resaulting in being able to run acros walls, and other cool stunts. Reason three, It has a really awsome storyline. I really recomend this game, expecially if you like games like God of War. The product is excellent and it arrive at my hands super fast, really I recommend this salesman widely Prince Of Persia is an update of the world-renowned game -- taking one of the all-time great games into the new century. It has the same themes&gameplay that made it such a hit, with all-new graphics and modern features for a brand new classic! Rerations < Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time >

(Absolutely brilliant!!!)
(#1 XBOX GAME)
(Best game I have ever played.) Its a fun game, haven't played much of it since I ended up getting a 360 a couple weeks after receiving this one. Game play is fun, animation is nicely done, interface is okay...
originality- 8/10 graphics- 8/10 sound/music- 9/10 replay- ??? (not far enough to say) fun factor- 8/10
overall- 8-8.5
definitely a good buy for a gamer. game is a bit hard for casual gamers but the learning curve is not that steep and is very playable. artificial intelligence is simply great.
technical aspects (graphics + sound + ai = etc) simply the best of xbox/ps2/gc generation. there may be a minor framerate drop here and there but it never happens during action moments.
buy the xbox live downoad for 1200 points, is cheaper, and it will 15 bucks well spent. KEY NOTE: This is available to download ON XBOX Live, on the CURRENT (mid 2009) 360 marketplace.
So, download it today on your xbox 360.
as for the game, it is my all time favorite, and for good reason.
It is simply the best all around, and on multiple levels. I have played it over and over, and I don't EVER play a game a second time once I've finished it. That should go to show you how highly NG Black is esteemed.
Perfect Game, 5 stars! Ninja Gaiden Black is by far the best game ever released on the X-Box. I still play this game on my X-box 360. Many times I forget this is just an X-box game I am playing. Gameplay is the smoothest among all games, graphics are still awsome, difficuly can bring you a great challenge. I have beat this game in Normal, Hard, V-Hard, even in M-Ninja. I even beat it in Ninj Dog mode (wich happened to be super easy) just to see how the story goes with Ayane. I hope Team Ninja plans to make great improvement's on Ninja Gaiden 2 and port it to the PS3, same as they have done to this game making Ninja Gaiden Sigma. 5 stars............................................. Pretty much every other review on here sums up this game very well.
BUT....
A few changes to a few bosses have made this game much more difficult. A lot more bosses deflect Flying Swallow and so that makes them 500x more difficult. Bosses that do this:
Alma (second time you fight her) Final Boss
Now they are much more difficult and you will need to actually try to beat them. Yes Alma 1.0 is still mind-numbingly difficult and she will still kill you in a matter of 10 seconds with one of her combos.
Most reviewers don't say this, but I think this is the most rewarding game I have ever finished, because once you are done you feel like you actually accomplished something rather than being "Ok well time to put it back on the shelf."
Check this game out on Xbox Originals (on the 360) or go get it used from gamestop, you will like this game.
Just be patient and you will like it.
Also, check out Ninja Gaiden II, its pretty good. customer 's review (Tough game, great fun!)
(Cool)
(Great game! Just a couple bad points.)
(Great Game!!!)
(COD3) Game gets tougher as one opts for higher gameplay, but if one anticipate the way the AI works, one can achieve anything. Enjoy, its worth it The kids made me get this with their allowance, they seem pretty happy with it. Call of Duty 3 is an overall great game. It is exiting, fast paced, and has a good story. But I thought the graphics were the only bad part of the game. During the cutscenes the graphics were great. But during the game there were some parts where the graphics were not so well. I had many parts where I would be in a room all by myself and a gun would show through a wall and shoot me with no man there. I would shoot back but i would just hit the wall. Another thing is that my men would just walk right through walls that I could not find my way around.
Overall great game! Certainly buy it! Lots of action, and great multiplayer!!! Xbox live is awesome with this game! Single player mode is also, great. If you like FPS, you have to get this game! I'm just a casual gamer who doesn't do online MMP,etc., just enjoys graphics, action, etc. As some already pointed out, it was a very short game. I'm also not sure if it's a clone of another COD game, as each scene seemed to be the same as the other game (can't remember the exact title). If you can get it cheap, then I would say it's a good one. The graphics are good and the action can be intense. If you are a hard core gamer, then I would suggest you pass on this. Call of Duty 3 delivers the intensity of World War II combat closer than ever. In this next-generation game, you'll experience the Normandy Breakout -- the historic campaign that made the liberation of Paris possible and brought the Allies a step closer to Berlin. Travel with four ordinary Allied soldiers -- American, British, Canadian and Polish -- as they're thrust onto an authentic, living battlefield for unprecedented combat, with advanced High-Definition graphics, detailed Character animations and explosive on-screen action. Call Of Duty 3 delivers the most immersive and cinematically intense war experience ever. (Different but falls short overall)
(Not typical)
(A GAME WITH SUCKY CONTROLS THAT DOESN'T SUCK? HUH?! 8 OUT OF 10)
(Great Concept but Needed More Testing) This game is not for those who exclusively play mindless action games. There are real characters and narrative here. For those wanting to see a great story AND play a great game you can't go wrong with Indigo Prophecy. This game has a very interesting storyline which keeps players coming back to see how it turns out, but near the end some things get way too out there, and it doesn't conclude as well as it starts. The dialogue can be annoying at times, people just don't talk like they do in real life, and this affects the whole interactive movie thing the game is going for. Overall its a fun experience, but trial and error gameplay and things getting too weird near the end make this game fall short of a 5/5. If you love movies with a twist you'll love this game. The story,Action,Qte{Quick time event),Sex,Brief nudity this game has it all.A must play!! Indigo Prophecy is a rather interesting title. It thinks outside the box, it's different from all other games, you are never given a weapon; instead it requires a lot of thought and quick reflexes, and it's the only game that actually qualifies as a game of drama. WHAT THE GAME IS: Well, it qualifies as an adventure game, but you can't exactly pigeonhole it into what kind of game it is, it's that unique. It's January 2009, in New York City, a series of murders involving ordinary people who kill total strangers in public places is occurring. There is no connection between these murders other than they all follow the same ritualistic killing methods. One of the protagonists in a game; Lucas Kane; becomes the latest person to kill someone in a public place. For no apparent reason, Lucas kills a man in the bathroom of a restaurant, so he must avoid capture from the police. The story also stars two police detectives; Carla Valenti and Tyler Miles; who are working on the case and they are playable characters as well. The game is all about quick reflexes and strategically (not to mention frantically) carrying out your actions and choosing what the characters say during a conversation. GRAPHICS: These graphics don't look that great, even for when it was released in 2005. The textures are lousy and the animation is stiff. MUSIC: It's good and it sets the drama mood as well as for the frantic moments of gameplay. SOUNDS: Mostly just talking. GAMEPLAY: Okay, let's just get the bad part out of the way, the controls are awful and are very difficult to get used to. The gameplay relies almost exclusively on the analog sticks, I'm not kidding. Almost all the movements and actions are done via analog sticks. But once you get the hang of the controls, the game turns out to be quite an entertaining piece of work. There are no guns, no weapons of any kind. The gameplay revolves around the everyday lives of Lucas and the two detectives. Whether it be relationship problems, going to work, working on the computer, analyzing evidence and crimes, drowning your sorrows in alcohol or drugs, saving people from drowning, hiding evidence, having strange visions, engaging in conversation, opening things, listening to music, playing guitar, and avoiding becoming an emotional wreck this drama title has got all of this and more. It requires a lot of use from your brain, so if you only like the old Xbox for shooters, you won't like this game because it has no weapons. OVERALL: If you like games that are out of the ordinary, this game is definitely worth a look if you please. But be warned about the controls and camera problems. I wish developer Quantic Dream had spent more time fine-tuning the controls, but what's here is just fine and quite entertaining. I honestly would be more than willing to play Quantic Dream's upcoming Heavy Rain, but the question is, when does it come out, and will it go multi-platform (So far it has only been announced for PS3)? THE GOOD: A game that is surprisingly smart, inventive, innovative, and quite interesting as a drama game. THE BAD: Awful controls and squirelly camera. Indigo Prophecy deserves kudos for thinking outside of the box. This merges an adventure game, a thrilling crime drama and reflex action together. Unfortunately, the results are a bit sporatic.
First, the basics. You are an innocent man - but somehow you wake up standing over a dead body, knife in hand. Obviously you killed him - but why? You're not the only person asking this question. You can switch between three other characters in order to solve this crime.
The game is a "movie". The tutorial takes place in a green room situation where you learn how to move and interact. There are flashbacks, thought-overs, foreshadowing and many other movie gimmicks. If you love movies, this is great. It helps to immerse you in the feeling that you are interacting in an epic situation.
There is a lot of dialogue here, and you lead it along. You have a series of options you can choose from, and depending on what direction you choose to go in, the storyline follows you. In that sense, the game is really quite open and you can have a great impact on what happens.
All of these situations are great in theory. The practice is a bit different.
For starters, the game's graphics are really not that wonderful. I realize that in many games it doesn't matter - but this is supposed to be a gritty crime drama. With all the amazing XBox games out there, to then go "backwards" to this one is quite noticeable. It detracts from gameplay to have pixellated objects to interact with when you're talking about human lives on the line.
The game, for all of its freedom of choice, is very linear. It starts right from the beginning. You're in your apartment, evading the cops. You want to hide a bloody item of clothing and do up the bed. But wait - you can't pull out your blankets if you're holding something in your hand! You can't put that item down either. So you have to run across the room to the washing machine - put it in - then run back to the bed and pull that across. They have a set order they expect you to do things in. If you don't, you keep failing and restarting until you get it right.
The movement makes this doubly difficult. You enter a room and forward is up. Go into another room and forward is left. The cameras don't follow with you naturally. It adds extra frustration to the constant restart cycle.
The game design is very innovative. Again, I praise them for thinking outside the box and creating this rich, dramatic environment. However, they should have spent a few more months in testing and design, so that the rest of the game was brought up to those same standards.
Don't get me started on the left-left-right-up-right sequences required in order to do certain tasks ...
Note: this does play on the XBox 360.
You lead an ordinary life. You have friends a job and an everydayroutine. Then one day it all ends. You find yourself standing over a dead body with a bloody knife in your hand. You have noidea who the victim is but one thing is certain you ve killed him.Without any recollection or reason you can only guess at what possessed you to do this. But possession is exactly what it is.Unknown to you is that forces of an ancient prophecy are at work with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. customer 's review (A Classic Xbox Game)
(A Must Buy)
(The game takes a considerable amount of patience, but it's well worth it.)
(SHENMUE YES!!!!!!!!!)
(Shenmue rocks) While Shenmue 2 never sold well on the Xbox,it sold quite a lot on the DC. This was due to people being outraged that a completed DC game got canceled at literally the last minute and moved over onto the Xbox for a North American release (Shenmue 2 was supposed the DC very last game, think of it as going out with a bang) So a majority of people ignored the Xbox version completely and imported the English subbed PAL version. Anyway enough with the history lesson on with the review.
Shenmue 2 takes place right after the events of Shenmue 1. Shenmue 1 only contained 1 chapter of the Shenmue universe whereas Shenmue 2 contains 3 chapters. One thing that people will notice right away is that there was a whole chapter dedicated to the ship but it is only mentioned in the game near the beginning in one sentence (you can unlock a few books that tell you what happened on the ship) A nice touch that was done for Xbox owners who purchased the game was that Sega decided to included a 1hr 30min DVD on the events of Shenmue (it's just a DVD with every cut scene in the game). I can tell you right now if you didn't like Metal Gear Solid because of all the story telling. Then Shenmue 2 is not for you,it is basically just an interactive movie. I found that there was not as much fighting as the back of the box makes out to be.
The graphics of Shenmue 2,while beefed up a bit for the Xbox,Shows it was essentially a straight port from the Dreamcast with a few extra features added in,there is now a camera option in the game witch lets you take pictures of people in the game to unlock a whole lot of stuff.
Overall Shenmue 2 is a great game if its your kind of thing. Its just very sad that we are most likely going to be stuck with the cliffhanger ending that ended Shenmue 2. If you liked the first Shenmue, then you will love Shenmue II. The story line is more detailed, and the gameplay is quick and interactive. There are a lot of mini games to play to keep you busy, and the fighting system can get used to at first, but you will kick butt once you get the hang of it. It is a must buy if you loved the first shenmue. From the makers of the virtuafighter series and many other SEGA classics comes Shenmue II, a sequel for its SEGA Dreamcast predecessor which made gaming history. The game boasts a solide back story and many RPG elements that were pretty revolutionary in their time. The games fighting system is based on the origional fighting engine of the virtuafighter games, but it also involves reacting in a 3D environment. This inturn makes fighting groups of four or more a bit difficult. The game tries to make up for it with an evade/counter/block button, but useing even that takes patience, a good deal of practice, and near perfect timing. Granted once you've mastered the timing, it does make each combo and counter attack that much more satisfiing. Again, the back story is excellent, but there's alot of diolog to listen to, and you're limited to how much you can practice your moves outside of battle. More than anything, this game is trying to tell a good story; so have patience and try to enjoy it for what it is. This game is really cool, but I was a little upset because at the end of the game it said TO BE CONTINUED. How sad :( I personally love this series. I played Shenmue for the dreamcast and enjoyed being able to run around Japan to search for clues. Shenmue 2 starts in Hong Kong. I enjoyed running from place to place getting part time jobs, playing the street gambling games, etc. This game is not just all running around and games but you also get to use your karate to defeat people in your way. But even if you do not want to complete the game there are many side quests and games to play such as arm wrestling. If you do not like games where you have to sit down and think about where to go then I would not recommend this for you. But if you like solving mysteries and beating up the bad guys, I would recommend this game.
The only disappointment is that it looks like Shemnue 3 will never be released. Shenmue IIis an epic adventure with all the elements of a great movie--drama, mystery, suspense, and action–-and offers a unique gameplay experience that seamlessly blends elements of action, adventure, fighting, and role-playing games. InShenmue II, players assume the role of Ryo Hazuki, a young man dedicated to the task of tracking his father's murderer and unlocking the mysteries of the Phoenix Mirror.Shenmue IIcontinues whereShenmueleft off and brings Ryo to Hong Kong with many questions still unanswered as he follows the trail of Lan Di, the man who killed his father. customer 's review (Pure Evil)
(OK port)
(Best Game on any Console!)
(FREAKING AWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Amazing. Gaming Excellence) First off, the game's graphics and controls are great, even fun to go through x amount of levels before it turns into something totally crude, offensive, and evil.
I had the displeasure of going into the level "We don't go to Ravenclaw" or whatever it's called, and you're basically in an abandoned town at night with mentally handicapped people screaming at you "Let go of me!!" while you throw saw blades at everyone.
If you're getting sick and tired of the evil crap put out there in the media, don't trot in this excrement. Bad, bad, bad. They couldn't have made that level any worse than it is, and I probably even had a psychosis as a result of playing enough of it! The game is of course just a simple port of the game for the PC. Personally I think that the loading times are a little long and much much more frequent than with a PC. I have actually calculated the loading times in comparison to its PC counterpart and there is consistently 2 to 3 times the number of loading screens! Anyhow, its a decent game and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you can purchase the used discs This game is the best game I've played on any game console (including wii, 360, etc!). The game designers and producers obviously put a lot of work into this game, making it very interactive, extremely long, and varied. Each level is different, with different challenges, environments, vehicles, etc. The game is not just your ordinary shoot 'em up game, but you are required to use your brain to figure out how to move forward by interacting with the environment. It is heart-pounding at some moments, thrilling at others and even freakin scary (zombies in a graveyard, ahhh!). This game is awesome, and I wish there were more games like this! THIS GAME KICKS MAJOR BUTT! IT PROBABLY IS BETTER THAN HAVING ANGELINA JOLIE AS YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!well, thinking about it, it isn't, BUT IT STILL IS FREAKING AMAZING! IT HAS AN AWESOME STORY, MEMORABLE CHARACTERS, GREAT GRAPHICS, LOTS OF EXCITEMENT, GREAT ENEMIES, AND IT IS JUST OVERALL POSSIBLY THE BEST GAME EVER MADE! YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO BEAT IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. I GIVE THE GAME 55555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DON'T OWN IT YOURE A PUSSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off let me say I didn't play this on the Xbox. I played it on PC and I recommend you do as well if you can because I heard the loading times on the Xbox are really long. Now onto the game itself:
Being the sequel to an FPS classic that won over 50 game of the year awards let's admit it, Half-Life 2 had some huge shoes to fill. In my opinion, Half-Life 2 is the most underrated FPS out there. What I mean is, despite huge critic praise and the winning of massive amounts of awards, including 38 game of the year awards, I run into people all of the time who STILL haven't played this game!!! And I'm talking FPS fans like me! Here it is, three years later and I still run into them. I don't get it. You could play this game now and it still has solid enough technology to keep up with the newest games in today's market. You won't believe this came out three years ago when you play it!The physics are incredible, the graphics are top-notch and the levels are a blast!
Take my word for it. This is probably in my top 5 favorite FPS games of all time. This is a marker for FPS games and for all games in general. THIS IS NOT A GAME TO BE MISSED!! YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME TO PLAY IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Half Life 2 Xbox Rerations < Half Life 2 >

customer 's review (Grand Theft)
(never try to buy xbox games from wmp3)
(STILL GREAT AND AWESOME 9 OUT OF 10)
(Another Title to play again on Xbox 360)
(Excellent VALUE) My kids enjoyed this game very much. i am happy i purchased it for them Both grand theft auto 3 and vice city are awesome games, i recommend purchase this item, but not from wmp3 because you will never recieve it and have to contact amazon for a refund. Before I bought this double pack for my Xbox, I had only played Grand Theft Auto for PSone and Grand Theft Auto III on a friend's PS2. So when I saw that these games were available on Xbox I was very excited because I thought they were exclusive to PS2. I can really see why these games are considered some of the greatest ever made because of their innovation, excellent missions, large level of controversy, and of course the car theft. The graphics however look ugly and there are targeting problems regarding guns. These problems are minor when you really get into these awesome games. So please, buy these games for PS2 or Xbox, and play the games that reinvented the video game industry. You know it's cheaper to buy used Xbox Games to play on Xbox 360 especially when you have HDTV and component cable. This is great renewal of game experience in all new level. Especially, nowadays with Xbox 360 being mainstream, the game prices of used Xbox games are going down fast. Better get those games before all turns into collectibles. When this was released awhile back, Rockstar (or Take2 - whomever owned them at the time) gave xbox fans something most companies don't, a deal. 2 very large worlds, 2 very long games, at 1 price. Thank you ROCKSTAR. Crime does pay. The hugely successful, highly controversial Grand Theft Auto franchise moves into 3 dimensions in the dark and seedy underworld of Liberty City. With the freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto 3 puts the dark, intriguing and ruthless world of crime at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it. Featuring a fully 3-D living city, a combination of narrative driven and non-linear gameplay and a completely open environment, the game represents a huge le Praised for brilliant scripts and open-ended gameplay, vilified for unapologetic violence and mature themes,Grand Theft Autohas deservedly become one of the most popular game franchises in history. This double pack contains the full versions of bothGrand Theft Auto IIIandGrand Theft Auto III: Vice City, enhanced for Xbox. Xbox gamers can rejoice that the grand king of video games--The Sopranoswith a gamepad--is finally available on the big black box.Grand Theft Auto WithGrand Theft Auto IIIRockstar proves that not all developers are concerned with toning down the violence in their games. This sequel is even more bloody, violent, and sadistic than its popular predecessors, offering up an enormous 3-D city in which nearly any criminal act is possible. Players are free to steal cars, beat up the local population for their money (or weapons), make time with prostitutes, or simply roam to their heart's content. Those seeking more structure can embark on dozens of missions driven by a genuinely interesting crime-story plot or steal cars that let them play minigames. Nab a cop car and you can go on vigilante missions. Grab a cab and you can play a deadly version ofCrazy Taxi. Take a fire truck and you can earn money putting out fires. The minigames are a good way to unwind after a particularly difficult mission. With so much to do, the game just never gets boring. As you'd expect, there are consequences for criminality. As your random acts of mayhem mount up the police start hounding you, eventually calling in SWAT trucks, the FBI, and even the army if you continue down the path of destruction. Shaking these pursuers is easily the most fun part of the game, especially when a bunch of friends are packed in the room to witness your narrow escapes. Grand Theft Auto IIIis fine-tuned to near perfection in every category. All the vehicles, from slick sports cars to lumbering dump trucks, handle exactly as you'd expect and smash apart realistically when abused. The three islands in the game are rendered in terrific detail considering their size, and are packed with traffic, pedestrians, and hidden jumps. The audio is equally amazing. Pedestrians talk, cops scream at you, and you can tune in nine different radio stations whenever you are in a car. It all adds up to a monumental achievement: the rare console game for adults that manages to get everything right.--T. Byrl Baker Grand Theft Auto III: Vice City How big is this game? Even publicists for other games end up talking aboutVice Citywhen they call our office, babbling in the same helplessly intoxicated way that afflicts everyone who plays it. The achievement ofVice City(which, as everyone knows by now, is set in the 1980s and offers an all-new, Miami Vice-inspired story) is not only that it manages to live up to an absurd level of expectation, but that it takes the game places that fans of its predecessorGrand Theft Auto IIInever dreamed of, and that it achieves this astonishing level of innovation without losing anything that madeGTA3the bestselling PS2 game of all time. After a brilliant homage to the era of the Commodore 64 in the opening credits, the first thing you'll notice is the improved graphics, which are smoother and more detailed, and--with effects like neon lights reflected on rain-slick streets, and intense Florida sunlight--have a lush, tropical look that immediately gives you a strong sense of place. The architecture is more fabulous by tenfold, with art deco buildings, high-rise hotels, and believably seedy back alleys. The control scheme is essentially the same as inGTA3, but the cars handle much better, and in pedestrian mode there is a new crouch move. You will have access to fast, great-handling cars right away, as opposed toGTA3which made you unlock the second island before you could get your hands on any respectable wheels. This game has such riches to offer that there is no need to be chintzy with the vehicles. Cops are more vigilant this time--minor offenses like whacking innocent bystanders will more often than not get you a two-star wanted level--and are harder to elude (though they still can't seem to climb stairs or negotiate sharp turns). So while free-roaming exploration is as fun as ever, there is more incentive to perform the missions instead of randomly raising hell. Not that that's a bad thing: even lazy criminals like myself (inGTA3, I would rather toss hand grenades into traffic than follow orders from some rude Mafia boss) will be quickly caught up in the vivid characters and hilarious, fascinating story, in which you play an acid-washed-jeans-wearing thug named Tommy Vercetti. Where inGTA3missions were blocky, schematic affairs only nominally connected to the story, this time tasks move the story briskly along and deftly blend cinematics and game action. For example, there is a scene of a character throwing Tommy a gun, at which point you are suddenly thrown back into the action and must make an instant decision about whom to trust and what to do. There are more, and more detailed, indoor environments, including a hotel, police station, and mall (a slight downside to this is that some of the more elaborate indoor environments require load times). The layout of the city, with tons of backyards, narrow alleys, and fire escapes, encourages creativity when eluding pursuit, as does greater access to rooftops. Get your motorcycle up the fire escape and a whole new world of action is possible, including... well, use your imagination. This overview barely scratches the surface of theVice Cityexperience, its colorful explosion of music, clothes, combat, and brilliant voice acting, not to mention the plot twist midway through the game that changes the very nature of the game itself. Though it was the outrageous, amoral violence that got all the press, the essential genius ofGTA3was its intoxicating blend of script and open-ended action. InVice Citythis is--to use a cliché that is for once apropos--taken to a whole new level.--David Stoesz Pros: - Open-ended gameplay; player can chose to be relatively law-abiding or engage in wanton virtual destruction
- Varied missions
- Brilliant scripts with Hollywood voice acting
- Rocking sound track (also available in our Music store)
- Xbox-enhanced graphics
Cons:- As theThe Sopranosof games,GTA 3draws unwanted attention from overzealous legislators

customer 's review (Amazingly Fast!)
(the good game.)
(Great Game!)
(The hype was deserved this time)
(ABSOLUTE Funnest game i ever played) I ordered several items from various sellers including Amazon.com all at the same time. I received this item from this seller in record time well before any of the others. Fun game. Cheap. In great shape. Really fast. Couldn't really ask for any more. This game is great but there is languge, violence, and a strip club. Do not buy this for a kid! Great game, although it has been out for a while, still fun as heck to play and is compatible with the 360 with an update that you can get from the Xbox website or from live when you put the game in. Never gets old! Putting aside from the typical reactions one gets from those who are predisposed to dislike this game due to its controversy (such as so-called "attorney" Jack Thompson, whose crusade against this and other violent video games has become an unintentional self-parody), it seems that there are those who are quite vocal about disliking this game due to the ridiculous amounts of hype the series receives. I can't completely blame them; after all, certain magazines (such as Game Informer) seem to throw any semblance of journalistic integrity out the window in their quest to write slavishly glowing and obsequious previews and reviews of any games from GTA's developers, Rockstar Games. These publications make it seem that there are no other worthwhile games out there aside from the GTA games, to such a degree that it almost screams payola. Or does it?
By this point, you probably are familiar with the Grand Theft Auto premise, established by Grand Theft Auto 3 in 2001. You control a criminally inclined character in a city, who can take a variety of missions from characters scattered about the area, and can pretty much take over most any vehicle. While there is a storyline in the game, you are allowed a significant amount of freedom, to the point where you can choose to not take any story missions, and instead either take on minor side missions, or simply drive about and cause chaos. GTA 3's sequel, Vice City, was the beneficiary of relentless media hype arising from the swell of unexpected success from its predecessor. While it boasted a number of improvements, such as better graphics, a great licensed soundtrack, a more cinematic storyline (complete with celebrity voice acting), somewhat better targeting, and the addition of motorcycles and helicopters, Vice City was really not the quantum leap in gaming it was billed as. Not only did it fail to correct some of the failings of GTA 3, but it also took a step backwards in environmental design, as Vice City's flashy '80s neon cool couldn't make up for its flat and boring design (as opposed to Liberty City's multi-tiered, busy design).
When the hype over the next Grand Theft Auto game began to build, my reaction was more of a "so what"? Sure, I loved the GTA Double Pack (and had originally played a fair portion of Vice City on the PS2), but did I really need another stint in a small city, pursuing the same kind of missions and mayhem as before? However, when I found out the true scope of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, my interest grew exponentially.
GTA: San Andreas is certainly one of the most ambitious action games I've ever seen. Instead of providing one mere city, this game provides an entire state, albeit a relatively small and abridged one (when compared to the real thing). Three very distinct cities (based on Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas), a dozen small towns, a mountain, desert, woods, prairie, farms, rivers- this game's environment is the definition of "throwing in the kitchen sink". The number of missions has increased from the prior installments' 60-odd missions to over 100 story/side-story missions, plus the "career" missions (vigilante, ambulance, firefighter, valet, trucker, pimp, burglar, etc.), and the inevitable racing challenges. If that's not enough, several "just for kicks" mini-games are included, such as pool, basketball free-throws, and arcade games. But wait- there's more! The variety of vehicles has once again increased, and now includes a selection of "proper" airplanes (including a fighter jet!), ATVs, and mountain bikes, in addition to cars, boats, motorcycles, and helicopters.
Beyond these changes, the gameplay mechanics have been kicked up a notch. Your character, Carl Johnson, can now not only swim, but can also climb over fences if needed. In a move unheralded in the series, the developers threw in RPG elements: the more you perform an action (running, firing a certain weapon, driving), the higher your related skill stats go. You can customize your character to a certain degree (haircuts, individual clothing items), affect your characters physique by eating and working out, and even have a few girlfriends (who you can go on dates with). Targeting has also been improved, with the addition of a new manual aim mechanic for all projectile weapons, and a fully controllable camera. At several points in the game, you'll also get to lead your own posse of gang members, and engage in territorial conflict.
The storyline this time around is a little less tongue in cheek, and a little bit more serious. You control Carl Johnson, a former gang member, who is dragged back into the lifestyle by an unexpected death in the family. Even if you were never into the "Boyz In The Hood" genre of melodrama, the game is so well executed, and expands so far beyond that conceit, that it's hard not to be drawn in. (The downside is that this game may hit too close to home for anyone in a neighborhood terrorized by gang violence and the resulting "collateral damage".) The true breadth of the game really hits you when you first drive beyond the Los Santos city limits, into the countryside of Red County. Not only is there variety to be found in the three general country areas bordering the cities, but each of the three big cities is distinct from the others. Los Santos (the Los Angeles clone) combines the sun-drenched, beachcomber vibe of Vice City with the gritty sprawl of the L.A. seen in Quentin Tarentino and John Singleton movies, and the elevated highway interchanges and lofty downtown metropolitan look of more decadent depictions of the West Coast. San Fierro's (the fake San Francisco) vertical inclines and polished architecture come off as a more genteel, pleasant version of Liberty City. While the Las Vegas-inspired Las Venturas sports the weakest layout of the cities, being too reminiscent of Vice City's flat, low-rise tract design, its neon-lit casinos, scattered industrial depots and encircling highway system provide their own charms.
For the Xbox version, there's the good...and the bad. One of the greatest improvements is the inclusion of custom soundtracks. As huge as the included soundtrack is, I feel that Vice City's '80s soundtrack is better, and I'm not much of a fan of rap or grunge (I do sort of like the New Jack Swing station). The ability to make my own soundtrack is key for a game which depends a lot on cruising around; King Crimson, Deep Purple, Angra, The Four Tops, and more make the experience more unpredictable and just more fun. The graphics are improved in that the draw distance is better, textures are a bit nicer, and the almost-overwhelming orange glow present in the PS2 version has been toned down. However, the cool car reflections of the PS2 version are MIA, for some reason. In general, the graphics are not as shiny and "clean" as the Xbox version of Vice City, but do seem to provide more detail and variety (even if in a somewhat grainier fashion). Controls are a similar mixed bag; while the Xbox control sticks are a sight better for targeting, the controls for "drive-by shooting" are abysmal, compared to the GTA Double Pack (why the change?).
This game is so huge in scope that you'll find yourself playing for 70 or more hours, whether engaged in the more elaborate missions (which involve such diverse objectives as chasing a train, framing a DA, infiltrating a military base, a high speed mid-air dog fight, and even an assassination in far away Liberty City!), betting on the horse races, or in just exploring the huge environment. It's true that the "open world" genre is no longer new and enough in itself, with competition from Saint's Row, Just Cause, and True Crime: NYC. However, while those games may have better graphics, or a more refined targeting system, none of them has the depth of gameplay, variety and attention to environmental design as this game. For once, the hype was right. They finally made a game that feels almost as immersive as an actual world, but without as many limitations. (Note to the parents reading this: DO NOT get this game for any kid under 16. It's very entertaining, but the subject matter and context of the violence [of which there is plenty] is better for a "less impressionable" mind.)
THIS IS MY FAVORITE ALL TIME GAME BECAUSE ONCE YOU BEAT IT YOU CAN JUST PLAYING AND PLAYING. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas brings back the incredible action of the hit game series. Carl Johnson left the San Andreas neighborhood of Los Santos five years ago, when it was being ripped apart by drugs and gangs. When he returns in the early 90s, his mother has been killed, his family has fallen apart and childhood friends are criminals. Crooked cops frame Carl for murder, and he decides to save himself and his family - by taking over the streets. Advanced role-playing elements -- Unlike previous GTA characters, Carl can swim and he needs to eat to survive Side missions help develop skills that come into play later -- from working out at the gym to gambling in a casino Rerations < Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas >
