Doris Day has been fully involved with the musical selections for this special album, which hit the top ten with its advance release in England. Her son Terry Melcher -- who was known as a producer for folk-rock pioneers The Byrds and other artists -- co-wrote three of the new songs with the Beach Boys' Bruce Johnston: the emotional title track "My Heart", the romantic "The Way I Dreamed It" and the haunting "Happy Endings" sung by Melcher with a newly recorded spoken-word introduction by Day.
Also included is the rhythmic radio single "Heaven Tonight" plus three classic rock-era favorites: Joe Cocker's ballad "You Are So Beautiful", the Lovin' Spoonful's joyful 1966 hit "Daydream" and The Beach Boys' nostalgic "Disney Girls", the latter written by Bruce Johnston, who co-produced three of the recordings on the album.
Exclusive to this U.S. edition is the debut release of the traditional folk ballad "Stewball", which appropriately connects with Day's devotion to animals. The trio of vintage classics Day has selected for this album are "My One&Only Love" with the Andre Previn Trio, the biographical "Ohio" from the stage musical "Wonderful Town" and the standard "My Buddy" from Day's film "I'll See You In My Dreams". Rounding out the set is the bouncy showtune "Hurry It's Lovely Up Here" from "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever". Rerations < My Heart (U.S. Edition) >

Born in Utah, raised in rural Arizona, currently living in Los Angeles with extended residencies in New York and San Francisco, Day has called many places home. Along the way, he has wandered amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music, developing an artistic sensibility that borrows from numerous sources: jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, folk, traditional pop and contemporary pop are just the tip of the iceberg. Day uses intuition and improvisation as his primary tools to craft a sound that is traditional and familiar, yet fresh and innovative at the same time, creating a blend too subtle to parse into neatly defined categories.Vagabond, his new release and his first on Concord Jazz, cements his reputation as a balladeer for the new century whose creative voice is distilled from the best elements of the previous one. American Hard Rockers Dark New Day formed in 2004 with a line up consisting of Will Hunt (Evanescence), Clint Lowery (Sevendust), Brett Hestla (Virgos Merlot), Troy McLawhorn (Evanescence), and Corey Lowery (Stereomud, Eye Empire). They were quickly snatched up by Warner Bros. Records and released their debut album Twelve Year Silence in 2005. Charting in the Billboard Top 200, the album went on to be extremely successful and build their ever growing fan base.
The band continued with a rigorous touring schedule supporting such acts as Chevelle, Seether, and Crossfade. In 2006 the band released an EP entitled The Black Porch Acoustic Sessions after being on tour for over a year. The band recorded their second full length album entitled Hail Mary in 2006 for Warner Bros. Records. Going through many employee and management changes, Warner Bros. decided to release the band from their contract while leaving the Hail Mary album to be unreleased. It was at this point that Dark New Day went on a hiatus, with the members either returning to their previous bands or venturing out into new projects.
Modern Day:
The fire for new Dark New Day material continued to burn in both the band members and the diehard fan base alike. The band came together in 2011 to compile tracks for a special album to be released as a thank you to all the loyal fans that have continued to follow the band and request more material from the group.
The band was contacted by Goomba Music with an offer to provide a venue to release the material through a worldwide distribution network. On November 14, 2011 Dark New Day announced a partnership with the Chicago based label to release a new album.
The band s sophomore album, New Tradition is scheduled for a February 28, 2012 release. The new album will feature some of Dark New Day s finest material to date.
Guitarist Clint Lowery states, We are very excited about the new Dark New Day release and first the single New Tradition. It seems that the time is right to make these songs public and share with the fans that continue to support this project.
Prolific songwriters and drawing on their long time friendships, Dark New Day enjoyed a creative outburst from 2004 to 2006 crafting many songs, and all of the thirteen songs on New Tradition were written and recorded during this period. Although a few years old, Lowery says, We believe this music is still very valid and powerful today and think its mandatory we give these songs a fair chance out in the music world. We owe it to ourselves and the DND fans. New Tradition sums up the mindset we were in writing the follow up to Twelve Year Silence.
There is something very comforting and honest about New Tradition, that certain it that is hard to put into words. Needless to say, the guys in the band are seasoned veterans and have achieved tremendous success with their other bands. Maybe it is this success and their close friendship that bred such confidence that shines through in the songwriting and the performances on New Tradition.
From the bombastic opening drums of Fists From The Sky, the passion filled anthem and lead single New Tradition, to the groove filled final track Burns Your Eyes, this record will satisfy even the most zealous rock fans and critics.
Prepare for the rise of a Dark New Day. Rerations < New Tradition >

Ludacris (Bonus) My Darkest Days is a new rock group based out of Toronto. The group was discovered by Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) and is signed to his production company Mountainview Records. The trio originally hails from the small town of Norwood, Ontario. This small town atmosphere did not offer a lot of activities for young kids, so the band members have made music a part of their lives from a very early age. In fact, Matt Walst (Singer/Guitarist) co-wrote on his older brother's, Brad Walst (bassist Three Days Grace) debut album Three Days Grace. My Darkest Days use high energy rock and roll, coupled with beautiful ballads to explore the feelings that burn inside all of us. With catchy melodies and lyrics to back them up My Darkest Days is slowly becoming a fan favorite. An energy filled live show combined with an energetic crowd make the band an unforgettable live experience. Rerations < My Darkest Days >

Scathing yet self-effacing as it tells the tale of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, American Idiot is the punk rock epic. "A bold, polished punk opera." (Entertainment Weekly) "They're the biggest, most successful, punk band the world has ever seen. What's more, Green Day's next album may well be their masterpiece." (Kerrang!) For its first new set of music since 2000'sWarning, Green Day tears up the blueprint and comes up with something unexpected: a punk rock concept album built around elaborate melodies, odd tempo changes, and a collection of songs that freely reference classic rock warhorses like the Beatles and Pink Floyd. "She's a Rebel" and "St. Jimmy" might sound like vintage Green Day, but the rest of the disc finds the Northern California trio trying on a variety of different guises: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is a cliché-strewn Foo Fighters-style power ballad; "Extraordinary Girl" floats on Indian strings; and the hushed "Wake Me Up When September Ends" wouldn't sound entirely out of place on a Jessica Simpson record. It doesn't always work. "Dearly Beloved" eerily resembles the Alarm's "68 Guns," while the titletrack eerily resembles something Green Day has already done far too many times. But, overall,American Idiotrepresents a promising step forward.--Aidin Vaziri Rerations < American Idiot >

This version is also enhanced with video clip of 'Three Days Grace: Behind The Band', 'Animal I Have Become', 'Pain', and 'Never Too Late'. BMG. 2007. Loaded with lyrics about nightmares, pain, isolation and broken relationships,One X, the sophomore effort from Three Days Grace should be a downright bummer of a ride. Instead, the listener manages to find uplift lurking beneath the weighty lyrics as the quartet churns out a series of anthemic, crunch-chord songs. The band moves from arena-ready light metal with "It's All Over" to the sex groove of "Animal I Have Become," before plunging the listener into full-on chaotic heaviness during the anti-alienation anthem "Riot" and easing us into the atmospheric future hit "Get Out Alive." Throughout, TDG remains true to its core alt-metal sound. While that sound has been called unimaginative and unoriginal and at times does feel a little too familiar, the material onOne Xis never less than convincing and it packs a serious and stinging rock‘n' roll punch track after track. --Jedd Beaudoin Rerations < One X >
